ABOUT US

SUNDER SPICES PVT. LTD.

A family-run spice company headquartered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Founded in 1975 by Bharat Kumar Jain, we make pure ground spices, blended masalas, whole spices, hing and papad under the Sunder brand, and sell them through kirana stores, distributors, supermarkets, marketplaces and food service.

OUR VISION
AN INDIAN FLAVOUR COMPANY.To carry the real taste of every Indian region to every kitchen, at home and in the professional kitchen, in India and beyond.
OUR MISSION
YOUR REGION, BACK ON YOUR PLATE.Make honest masala the way a family hands down a recipe: pure, made by hand and made for the plate. Build habit, reawaken memory, protect reverence and deliver performance, and scale only what can remain true.
OUR STORY

In 1975, Bharat Kumar Jain made masala at home and sold it from his bicycle in Indore. One rule went with him: only the masala we would use in our own home should reach yours.

1975Production at home, sales from a bicycle. The first customers are the families of one Indore neighbourhood.
2ND GENShailendra Jain takes finance and purchase; Gaurav Jain, operations and manufacturing. Sunder becomes a professionally managed group serving the Indian market.
3RD GENAkshat Jain brings new packaging, e-commerce and modern trade, and takes the brand to a generation living far from home.
2026A new identity and a new architecture: Sunder becomes the Local Hero Masala, a house of Essentials, Regions, Heritage and Pro.
WHAT WE LEARNED FROM OUR ELDERS

Business is built on heritage. These four learnings run every decision, from the farm to the pack.

01PURITYThe purity of the spices. Nothing added, nothing hidden.
02KNOWLEDGEDerived from knowledge. Recipes earned over generations.
03HANDMade by hand. Craft over the conveyor belt.
04PLATEMade for the plate. Built for the meal, not the shelf.
LEADERSHIP

Warm like a grandfather. Sharp like a young founder. Sunder is still run by the family that started it.

Each generation took on a different part of the work.
